BBTB2 - Happy 4th of July Banner

How do you capture a 4 foot banner in photographs?  Not easily.   I came up with a 4th of July banner to decorate my family room fireplace using cuts from several cartridges.  I think it looks pretty festive up against the white background.

At BBTB2 this week we are in the spirit of freedom, and must use a Flag or Banner for the 4th of July.   Join us in celebrating the USA!   Michelle is our hostess selecting our patriotic theme.

Uses the following cartridges:  Old West, Photo Booth Props, Summer Celebrations, and Independence Day.

I Won - Burlap Flowers from Tracy

Hoorah!   I am a follower of lots of blogs and once in a while I enter contests or Random Acts of Kindness giveaways(RAK).  This past month I won something!!!

My present was a big selection of handmade burlap flowers.   They are made by Tracy from Country Charm by Tracy.   She put up a video on how to make the flowers and also posted cards she made.  (her blog link will take you to the video)  Thank you so much Tracy.  I will be starting on some layouts and cards soon!

BBTB2 Cricut Food Item

In celebration of National Onion Ring Day our hostess this week - Melanie, has asked us to use a food item in our BBTB2 challenge.   This was an easy one for me as I had just finished making a 3D BBQ box card designed by Becky Fisher Eppley, who shared it on the Cricut Lovers Guide to Design Space group on Facebook.  Since there were no instructions, I was on my own to figure out how all the pieces went together - a few of the pieces were challenging since they were so small.  I made the cuts with the 2 week free images in Design Space.  Since there is no telling what cartridges were used in some cases, I am glad it was all free to cut.   After the free subscription ended, it would have cost me $16 to cut - wow!

I am giving this card to my son in law for his 30th birthday.  He loves to camp, BBQ, and smoke meats and cheeses.  Join us this week and submit your food item card or project at BBTB2.

Cricut Father's Day Cards

I made 4 Father's Day cards for the men in my life.  All completely different, all made with my Cricut Explore.  Can you guess who gets which card?   My husband is a big sports person, my son-in-law loves different kinds of beer, my brother is currently remodeling a summer house, and my brother-in-law is an all around great guy.

BBTB2 - Snap Snap - Crustacean Creation

It's National Lobster Day - so to celebrate this unusual creature we are creating crab and lobster projects at BBTB2.   I used the Disney Princesses, Life's a Beach, and Splish Splash cartridges to create my underwater layout.   I think it turned out really cute and loved using the bling for bubbles and a pearl in the clam.    Join our challenge this week - Look for new and exciting changes coming your way.

4th of July Layout -

It's unusual that I make a layout without having pictures, but this year for 4th of July, I am ahead! Yeah!  Time to celebrate.  My layout features Disney Princesses and Crash, Boom, Pow for the fireworks, sprinkled with gems, Cricut writing, and Skittles from AbusyBee.  The Flag is from Summer Celebrations, and the tag is from Stand and Salute.  The boy with a wagon is an all time favorite, and cut from A Child's Year.

Happy 4th of July!

BBTB2 Watch the Road - Cricut Sign challenge

Hi All - It's my turn to select the challenge at BBTB2 this week and I selected a Sign, as in a banner or a informational sign (stop sign).  Head on over and see the wonderful signage at BBTB2 from all the designers and link up your Cricut inspired project.  The people sign is from Autumn Celebrations, the Curve sign is from Artiste, the Stop sign is from Nates ABCs, and the GO sign is from Going Places. Kite is from Classroom -April and May.   The titles - Let's Go and Beep-Beep and the motorcycle cut are from the Beep Beep cartridge.   I added an octagon as a background, but most of it is covered.  I cut these during the free subscription back in April.

This is my granddaughter when she turned two.  Her parents and her uncle gave her an electric motorcycle (both dad and uncle are Harley riders).  She called it her 'room-room'.   At first she wasn't too sure and later on you couldn't get her off.  It plays music and has a couple of speeds, I so wish they had them when I was little.

Cricut and Graphic 45 Baby Boy Album

I worked almost a week on and off creating this B-A-B-Y album for my dear friend who is having her first child.  As you can tell, it's going to be a boy.  She is in my scrapbook club, so I know her likes, and one of them is Graphic 45. Of course, I had to toss in a few Cricut cuts. She loved it!! Here are the pages:

BBTB2 Cricut - Cricut Happy 50th Anniversary

One of our new Designers, Kelly, is our hostess this week for the BBTB2 weekly challenge.  Since June starts the wedding season, she wants to see a wedding or anniversary card.   It just so happens that we attended a 50th wedding anniversary celebration for my husband's cousin a few weeks ago.

The card uses Graphic 45 papers, a picture from their wedding, and a few Cricut cuts.  I used Beyond Birthdays for the Happy Anniversary, and My World for the scroll, using the text printing feature of my Explore for the words. A little inking and some pearls for bling and ready to go.  I really like how it turned and am sure they will too.  Join us at BBTB2 and link up your anniversary or wedding project - Cheers!
