When looking for some pictures of my daughter as a bridesmaid, I ran across several pictures of her 8th grade graduation. I decided to make a layout with her and her friends all dressed up for the occasion. At the time, the kids all wore nice attire, but had to follow certain rules. I understand today's graduation is much more casual.
I am hosting our challenge this week at BBTB2, which is to use a dress form or dress Cricut cut in your project. I just got the French Manor cartridge so I used it to cut the dress form. Then I added the word "fashionista" from the Forever Young cartridge. Who doesn't love Graphic 45 papers, (but hates to use their stash) the hues and corset background paper coordinated so nicely.
Link up your dress form/dress project at BBTB2 this week. We love to see your creations.
This is really BEAUTIFUL Maureen!! great layout and wonderful papers. I love the challenge you chose.

Maureen, I LOVE this layout, it is so bright and pretty! The dress form is PERFECT and I LOVE what you did with the roses! Outstanding.
ReplyDeleteI truly loved this challenge, Maureen. Thank you SO MUCH for thinking of it. It got me back into my craft room because I was so excited once I realized how to use the dress form. I needed that nudge. Thank you!!
Hugs,
Susan
Wow, this paper is so pretty and so is your layout! I love those pics of your daughter...how pretty she looks. This was a fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a challenge! I can never make myself use the Graphic 45 paper-it's too beautiful and I get paralyzed with how to use it! I love what you did with it-the dress form and word are the perfect complement to the picture and paper!

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful layout Maureen! I love the paper and although I don't have Graphic 45 papers but one little pack, I love their papers. I'm almost afraid to use it though. lol I also love the die cuts you used and your pictures are just beautiful of your daughter and her friends. I too had a dress code to follow for graduation. My boys however didn't. I was proud of some of my boys for picking a dress shirt and tie, but not all did. lol Thanks for a great challenge my friend! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteSuper fun layout Maureen! Awesome challenge too! Your papers and colors are fabulous and I love phrases from Forever Young!
