BBTB2: Cricut - Father's Day Hike with Family

These pictures are a few years old, but still make a great layout.  In 2015 we had all the family up to the ski club for a nice weekend that included a hike on Donner Summit.   Who would have thought I would use pink on a Father's Day layout? Well, it works - only because there is pink in my pictures.

Dinosaur Tracks for the title - First time using this font - I think it's cool. I inked the edges too.  Going Places cartridge for the compass and the Family icon.  Artiste for the gear behind the journal tag.

This was really a fast layout - I knew how I wanted the pictures to go on the page, finding the icons was pretty easy, and the cuts were not complicated.  (although I did cut that compass a few time on flimsy paper which didn't work at all).

Join our Bitten by the Bug2 challenge this week where Susan is our hostess.  The theme is Father's Day.  Link up your wonderful creations to the blog and join the fun.  See the creations by Susan and the rest of the design team, they don't disappoint!

BBTB2 Watch the Road - Cricut Sign challenge

Hi All - It's my turn to select the challenge at BBTB2 this week and I selected a Sign, as in a banner or a informational sign (stop sign).  Head on over and see the wonderful signage at BBTB2 from all the designers and link up your Cricut inspired project.  The people sign is from Autumn Celebrations, the Curve sign is from Artiste, the Stop sign is from Nates ABCs, and the GO sign is from Going Places. Kite is from Classroom -April and May.   The titles - Let's Go and Beep-Beep and the motorcycle cut are from the Beep Beep cartridge.   I added an octagon as a background, but most of it is covered.  I cut these during the free subscription back in April.

This is my granddaughter when she turned two.  Her parents and her uncle gave her an electric motorcycle (both dad and uncle are Harley riders).  She called it her 'room-room'.   At first she wasn't too sure and later on you couldn't get her off.  It plays music and has a couple of speeds, I so wish they had them when I was little.

Father's Day - Let's Ride

As Father's Day draws near, we are all scrambling to make our cards and gifts.  Luckily, the BBTB2 designers are posting a Father's Day challenge this week, so my card is done.  This one is for my son in law, who loves motorcycles.   The Daddy medallion has 5 layers and is free on the Cricut Craft Room this week (until Tuesday midnight).  The motorcycle is from Going Places, and the license plates are from a Tim Holtz sticker book.  Background paper is G45 Communique.   If you already completed your Father's Day card using a Cricut cut, post it to our Linky at BBTB2, if not, get crackin, and don't wait.  Enjoy!
