BBTB2: Cricut - Tropical Paradise Found

This week it's my turn to host the challenge at Bitten by the Bug2.  Since it's summer and I've been dreaming of my adventure earlier this year to Ecuador, I thought I could incorporate my pictures into a theme.   Our theme is Tropical and/or Tropical Vacation.  Let's see those beautiful tropical palms, flowers, and Polynesian type of cuts on your cards or projects.  Link up your projects HERE. Maybe you may even get out the lawn chair and have a great tropical dream!

Cuts used on this layout:

Sun: Luau

Palm Tree: Summer Love

Leaves: Dinosaur Tracks

Flowers: Pack Your Bags

Banner:1st Few Years

Words:  Life's A Beach

Sequins from Queen and Co.  Inking on all pieces.  Can you see the paper is a bamboo print?  Oh, how I wish I could spend a few days there again, just floating down the Amazon..........yes, paradise found.............

BBTB2: Cricut - Shamrocks for the Irish

It's all about Shamrocks this week at Bitten by the Bug2.  So, Show me your Shamrocks - on a card, a layout, or altered art project.  Then link it up to our challenge HERE.  Thank you Susan at Busy With the Cricky for hosting our big St. Patrick's Day related challenge.

I am Irish, so a little bit of me is in my grandkids.  When I saw this saying on Pinterest, I knew I had to use it on one the portraits of my littlest grandson.  He just looks so Irish with that newspaper boy hat.

I've left room for journaling on the round scalloped circle.  It's simple this week, I wanted the picture to be the focus. You may be able to see some inking and Stickles to add dimension.

Circle:  free shapes
Shamrocks in circle:  Celebrate with Flourish
Shamrocks banners:  Holidays Throughout the Year Iron-on
Title:  Art Nouveau (kind of looks Gaelic to me)
Scalloped Circle:  The First Few Years

4th of July Layout -

It's unusual that I make a layout without having pictures, but this year for 4th of July, I am ahead! Yeah!  Time to celebrate.  My layout features Disney Princesses and Crash, Boom, Pow for the fireworks, sprinkled with gems, Cricut writing, and Skittles from AbusyBee.  The Flag is from Summer Celebrations, and the tag is from Stand and Salute.  The boy with a wagon is an all time favorite, and cut from A Child's Year.

Happy 4th of July!

BBTB2 - Zoo Day Cricut Layout

Our hostess for this week is Sharon at BBTB2.   Since Spring is in the air, she wants us to use a cloud and a sun in our design.   I enjoyed a few weeks of the free Cricut Design Studio subscription, so I made cuts that were 'free' and I didn't have in my collection.   I put them on a layout of a recent zoo trip with my grandkids and their other grandma.  A fun day and a fun layout.  You have all week to link up your sunny day project using a Cricut sun and clouds at BBTB2.

Sun - Folk Art Festival
Clouds - 1st Few Years
Elephant - Zoo Day
Giraffe - Wall Decor and More
