BBTB2: Cricut - Baby Shark, Do Do Do Do

I love the Baby Shark Song.  I sing it to all the little ones when we are taking baths or in the pool.  I just had to incorporate this song into a layout.  This week at Bitten by the Bug2 we have a theme of  "It's The Beach Life".  We recently went to a local public park with a man made lake and beach, my little guy loved playing in the sand and pretending to swim.  I took several pictures but getting good ones of a two year old is difficult.  I am late this week with my project, so this one had to go together rather quickly.

Link up your project at Bitten By the Bug2 HERE.  You can use Instagram, blog, Pinterest, etc.

Cartridges: Life's a Beach, Pack Your Bags, Family Vacation.
I used Smooches on the word Beach and on the sand.  Stickles on the Shark, and inked edges.

BBTB2: Cricut - Tropical Paradise Found

This week it's my turn to host the challenge at Bitten by the Bug2.  Since it's summer and I've been dreaming of my adventure earlier this year to Ecuador, I thought I could incorporate my pictures into a theme.   Our theme is Tropical and/or Tropical Vacation.  Let's see those beautiful tropical palms, flowers, and Polynesian type of cuts on your cards or projects.  Link up your projects HERE. Maybe you may even get out the lawn chair and have a great tropical dream!

Cuts used on this layout:
Sun: Luau
Palm Tree: Summer Love
Leaves: Dinosaur Tracks
Flowers: Pack Your Bags
Banner:1st Few Years
Words:  Life's A Beach
Sequins from Queen and Co.  Inking on all pieces.  Can you see the paper is a bamboo print?  Oh, how I wish I could spend a few days there again, just floating down the Amazon..........yes, paradise found.............

BBTB2 - The Hula Dancers are Here

My granddaughter attended her cousin's 1st birthday party, complete with a luau theme.  The highlight of the evening was a hula dancer and her bongo playing companion.   As the picture shows, she was mesmerized by the dancing and costumes.   The girls as well as the guys each got lessons and showed off their dancing skills.

Our theme this week at BBTB2 is "Fruits of Summer" and Brenda is our hostess.  Won't you join in the fun and create a project with your Cricut and link it up to our BBTB2 blog?  Love to have you.  Aloha! from Bitten by the Bug 2.

Cartridges used:  Luau for Pineapple and 2 tiki men, Life's a Beach for words, center tiki man, and hula girl.  I used my Stampin' Up Blendabilities instead of inking.  I like how I could use several colors for the grass skirt and pineapple top as well as highlighting the flowers in the hula girl.

BBTB2 - High Chair 1st Birthday Deco

I have a one of a kind high chair decoration to share today.  I was asked to create a 1st Birthday decoration for the little one's high chair.    It was a great time.  I went bold and I love how it turned out.  It really only took about a hour to design and cut out, and another hour to ink and glue together.  It is held on with sticky tape.  As you can tell, the theme of the party was Hawaiian.  There were hula dancers, a BBQ, tiki bar, and we all dressed in the theme. The name Kaia means 'By the Sea' and she was so named after her parents love of Hawaii.   There are pictures of a few other items I created for the birthday girl.  I used "Life's a Beach" cartridge for most everything you see here.

Our hostess this week at Bitten by the Bug2 is the very talented Valentyna, and she has a challenge to create anything with a sea theme - sand,  beach, tropical.  How fun --- I knew I would like this one.  Join us by linking up your tropical project made with Cricut cuts at BBTB2.  With the summer vacations in full swing, why not create something that will make you think of paradise.

BBTB2 - Snap Snap - Crustacean Creation

It's National Lobster Day - so to celebrate this unusual creature we are creating crab and lobster projects at BBTB2.   I used the Disney Princesses, Life's a Beach, and Splish Splash cartridges to create my underwater layout.   I think it turned out really cute and loved using the bling for bubbles and a pearl in the clam.    Join our challenge this week - Look for new and exciting changes coming your way.

Fun in the Hawaiian Sun

This week at BBTB, Laura is our hostess (Crafty Chicks Creating).  Her choice for our challenge is to use a 'sun' Cricut cut in our project.  Today, I used the sun as a sunset on the Hawaiian shore.  Six of us took a trip to Maui in 2012 and had a wonderful vacation.  One of the highlights was dinner at Mama's Fish House on Maui.  I took pictures of all the couples on the beach and then some pictures of the sunset later in the evening. Mama's is highly recommended for a really nice (i.e. expensive) leisurely dinner.  I made an entire mini album of our trip using G45 Tropical Travelogue.

Most of the cuts on this layout come from the "Life's a Beach" cartridge.  The sun is from "Pooh and Friends", and the "Maui" lettering is from Rock Princess.  Post your 'sun' project, using a Cricut cut, at BBTB2, and also come see the design team creations.

ATC Summer 2014 Swap - Cricut Message Board

This is about the 4th ATC (Artist Trading Card) swap I have participated in on the Cricut Message Board.  Our theme this time is beach, vacation, or summer.   I knew I wanted to use the Life is a Beach cuts on my cards.  I embossed the starfish, embellishing with a small star, I inked the sand dollar, and I Stickled the coral.  A net background, and Perfect Pearls all over completed the card. (looks like I cut off the bottom of the picture, oops)   I can't wait to see what the other 14 ladies have come up with.   Do you collect or make ATCs?

Indian Summer 12x12 Layout for a Cricut Swap

This was the first swap I did on the Cricut Messageboard. I had a theme of Fall, so I created 6 sets of this one page layout. I spend quite a bit of time designing it, and then putting it all together. I like how it turned out. I got back some very nice Xmas, winter, and Halloween layouts in the swap....
