BBTB2: Cricut - Easter Layout - Almost All of them are Happy

This is a picture from last year, but I'm just getting around to scrapbooking it now.  I am so behind, I will never catch up.  As you can see in the picture, my grandson #2 is not very happy to meet the Easter Bunny, granddaughter is giving him the eye, but behaving really well, and #3 grandchild could care less about his first time meeting the big guy.  Let's see what this year holds, I'm going to hope it's more fun than fright!  I recently purchased several Easter papers, but ran across this paper and really liked the pastels and flowers, so I went with it.   I still want to add some bling to the egg - perhaps Stickles, but due to the deadline, it will have to be post publishing.

Our theme this week at Bitten By the Bug2 is "Easter - Anything Goes".  You can use any combo of Easter related Cricut cuts to make a card, layout or project and link it to our blog.   HERE is the link.

My layout is 12x12.  I inked all pieces with a chocolate ink pad.  I used a glitter pen on the flower and title.  Ribbon trim at the bottom adds a little embellishment.   I used the following cartridges:

Rounded Square:  Office Help
Rabbit:  Celebrate with Flourish
Egg:  Easter Magic
Happy Easter Title:  Easter Magic
Lily:  50 States

BBTB2: Cricut - Backyard Chicken Coop

This week on BBTB2, our challenge leader is my long time blogging friend, Caroline, from Card Creations By Caroline.   We are to create a layout, project or card with a cut from our Cricut of a bird.  That can be a peacock, a wild bird, a cartoon bird, an owl, or in my case - CHICKENS!   Link up your bird related project to our Linky on the Bitten by the Bug2 blog this week.  We love to see you spread your wings and create!!!  (haha)

My 'Birds of a Feather' layout features my grandkids a year or so ago when their dad first built a chicken coop.  It's really hard trying to photograph these chickens - they just didn't smile for the camera.  But the kids did.  They love their chickens, even more, they love the eggs.    I actually had planned more Cricut cuts to go on this layout, but it just didn't work - the background is busy and some of them were lost.  Sometimes, less is more - which is hard for me......  Cluck Cluck - have a great day!

Arizona Road Trip 2014

Sadly, I missed a few weeks of posting to the Bitten By the Bug blog due to illness.  I am glad to be back this week with a layout that is inspired by Susan's challenge to use a car in our project.  It was originally a two page layout, but I trimmed it down to one - maybe you will see the 2nd page soon.   I printed my pictures out at CVS, as I wouldn't go near Costco on a 3 day holiday, and I am not happy with the quality.  So they will be reprinted later.   I used the car and trailer from Campin' Critters, along with a desert scene for the header.  The word Arizona is from 50 States.

In these pictures, we are camped right near Saguaro National Park (outside of Tucson), with unbelievable views of cacti and awesome sunsets.  This was part of a 2 1/2 week RV adventure which covered the SF Giants Spring training in Phoenix, Old Tucson, Tombstone, and Palm Springs.

Come join our challenge over at BBTB2 and post your project using a Cricut cut of any car.  Beep Beep!  In case  you want to directly go to BBTB2 the address is:  http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/
