BBTB2: Cricut - Wedding Card Full of Lace

I usually have a hard time with tone on tone, especially white on white.  I was inspired, again, by a white on white card I saw on Pinterest.  My look is totally different, all I needed was that spark to get my mojo going in the right direction.

Our Bitten by the Bug2 challenge this week is Wedding/Anniversary.  We are continuing our month of Love theme.  I can always use a wedding card, so I might even duplicate this one a few times, it was really pretty easy and can be embellished several ways or the color changed to match the occasion.  Link up your card or project HERE.

My paper was a shiny white smooth cardstock I purchased at our local scrapbook store that was closing.  I wish now I would have brought more, it cuts like a dream on the Explore.  The background is from Paper Lace, and the Mr. and Mrs title is from Photo Fun - Celebrations.  Enjoy!

Disney - Cricut Mickey Nails

Am I excited to go to Disneyland?  Oh Boy, Yes!  (something Mickey would say)  I had a few free minutes and decided I needed to decorate my nails.  I made these cute Mickeys on my Cricut, they are about .20 inches small.  The vinyl cuts so nice.   I made a bunch so my grandkids can wear them too.

They may not last through too many hand washes, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.  I did my nails for Valentines and the very thinly cut decals did not last, but the solid hearts lasted over a week.  This was a quick fun project.

BBTB2: Cricut - Love My Mickey Tshirt

We are off to Disneyland with the grandkids,  It will be our first trip in over 15 years and the grandkids first trip ever.  I made several shirts for the group to wear one of the days.   Can you believe this is the first shirt I have made for myself using vinyl and the Cricut?  I always make them for baby showers or the grandkids, never myself.

Luckily my creation coincides with the Bitten by the Bug2 challenge this week, which is to use a Licensed Cartridge (character) on your card or project.  It can be Disney, Hello Kitty, or a few of the other licensed carts.   You can link up your project HERE.

I took the word LOVE from the Thoughts and Phrases cartridge and sliced it, removing the O.  I then brought in the Mickey head from Mickey and Friends and welded it to the word.   I made several versions, and used the one below, which is very similar to one I saw on Pinterest.

My other pictures are the tshirts I made for the grandkids at Christmas to announce to them they will be going to Disneyland.   The blurry picture is the granddaughter dancing and jumping around the room when she found out!  She was so excited, she has been wanting to go for at least 3 years.

BBTB2: Panda Love

I made this layout and put it in a 12x12 frame as a one year old birthday present.  It is really one of my favorite layouts.  I love the bold, yet masculine looking colors and how the cuts tied into the pictures.  I had a vision of what I wanted for a few months, so the design and assembly went together pretty fast - it usually takes me longer.

Our challenge at Bitten by the Bug2 this week is "HEARTS", we are still celebrating Valentines Day and Love.  Join our challenge and link up a project to the BBTB2 blog HERE.  You can use Flicker, your blog, or Pinterest to do the link-up.

My cartridges used are:
Panda - Pagoda
LOVE - Winter Woodland
Hearts - Basic Shapes
Grass - Disney's Mickey and Friends
Font:  AR Hermann (I think that is a system font)

BBTB2: Cricut Nail Art for Valentine's Day

I've been getting my nails done at the salon since Christmas - a little treat for myself.  The red glitter didn't turn out exactly like I wanted, so I decided to add some bling.  Luckily, adhesive vinyl cuts really well on the Explore, these cuts are 1/3 of an inch.  That's small!  I just used tweezers to pull the cut off the mat and place on my nails.  I really like them, and will probably have to manicure my granddaughter's nails as well once she sees them.

There are two cuts for these hearts:  Ashlyn's Alphabet and Cake Basics.  In all it took 15 minutes from start to finish.  I bet you may see more designs like this in the future.

Our Bitten by the Bug2 challenge this week is "Anything Goes for Valentine's Day".  You can link up any creation related to Valentines as long as it contains a Cricut cut in it.  Link up your project HERE:
