BBTB2: Camping in Colorado

This summer's big vacation was a RV trip to Oregon, Idaho, Colorado and Las Vegas.  It was a long one, but we had never been to Colorado and had friends we wanted to visit.  The mountains are so beautiful and there are lots of places to stop.  We took a lot of scenic pictures, here are just a few along the way.

Join our Bitten by the Bug2 challlenge for the next two weeks by linking up your card, project, or layout.  Our theme is "Get Outside challenge: BBQ, Picnics, Camping, Sports or Fireworks!".  That should cover any activity that you did this summer and want to capture.  Be sure to use your Cricut and then you can post your project HERE at Bitten by the Bug2.

I do have to give credit to Jessica Reilly for this layout.  I added some things, and deleted other things, but the basic layout (mountains, Campin' Critters) are her ideas.  Here is her original design. I found this layout by Jessica on the 'Scrappytodoit with my cricut' Facebook group.  Lots of inspiration for those who love their Cricut and scrapbooking!

Camping, Off Roading, and Quilting

Did you see the title and think 'what?? Those don't go together!".   Well, on this last trip, they sure did.  The girls went off to a quilt show, quilt supply shopping, and a sewing expo, and the guys went off road exploring along the river, a fish hatchery, and just relaxing.  This page is for the guys, future pages will have lots of quilt pictures.

At BBTB2 this week, Emily, from Mollie's Motif, is hosting our challenge.  She has asked us to use the Campin' Critters or any other camping themed cut from Cricut.   Campin Critters is one of my favorite cartoonish cartridges.  I have used it a few times this year already for BBTB2.   I put a few cuts down on torn paper with a tree background (DCWV).  The food cooler has two tags ready for my journaling.   Come on over to BBTB2 and let's see what you can create with a camping theme.

Arizona Road Trip 2014

Sadly, I missed a few weeks of posting to the Bitten By the Bug blog due to illness.  I am glad to be back this week with a layout that is inspired by Susan's challenge to use a car in our project.  It was originally a two page layout, but I trimmed it down to one - maybe you will see the 2nd page soon.   I printed my pictures out at CVS, as I wouldn't go near Costco on a 3 day holiday, and I am not happy with the quality.  So they will be reprinted later.   I used the car and trailer from Campin' Critters, along with a desert scene for the header.  The word Arizona is from 50 States.

In these pictures, we are camped right near Saguaro National Park (outside of Tucson), with unbelievable views of cacti and awesome sunsets.  This was part of a 2 1/2 week RV adventure which covered the SF Giants Spring training in Phoenix, Old Tucson, Tombstone, and Palm Springs.

Come join our challenge over at BBTB2 and post your project using a Cricut cut of any car.  Beep Beep!  In case  you want to directly go to BBTB2 the address is:  http://heather-bittenbythebug2.blogspot.com/
