BBTB2: Cricut Frosty Cold Winter Card

Join in our challenges at Bitten By the Bug2 by linking up your project to the theme for the week.  To enter, you need a blog, Flicker, or Pinterest account.  Our theme this week is to use a Cricut cut featuring a scarf, mitten, coat etc.  Here is my creation, a Frosty Snowman with his top hat and scarf.  It was designed by Pat Johnson, who is posts her files on the FB group Cricut Design Space.  She uses basic shapes and performs her magic.  The snowman is from basic shapes as well as the background outline of the scene.  This was a really easy card to cut and assemble. A little bit of Stickles to round out the scene.  Have a great week.

BBTB2: Cricut - Thankful Heart for Thanksgiving

Where oh where does the time go?  It's Thanksgiving, time to reflect on our year, family, and our decisions throughout the year.  This year I am thankful for another healthy year, for losing weight and feeling better, for a third grandchild, and a great stock market!

I made a Thanksgiving sign that I put into an 8x10" frame that will go with my decor for the holiday.  I made it print and cut, but really if I had enough time, should have cut it out individually.  There were 3 cartridges used:

Turkey and plaid - Thanksgiving Table Decor
Thankful Heart saying - Phrases
Blue background - Songbird

Join in our "Thanksgiving - Anything Goes Challenge" over at Bitten by the Bug2 and link up your holiday craft or card.  Our hostesses have created Thanksgiving cards and such, inspiring your creativity, I hope.  The link can be found HERE.   Happy Thanksgiving.

Birds of a Feather

Susan, with Busy With The Cricky, is our hostess for the week at BBTB2.  She has asked us to use a birdcage in our project or card.  Come join our challenge and link up your project at BBTB2.

One of my favorite cartridges is my Songbird cartridge. I made a series of bird cards and put different ones together as gift sets.. A few years back, I challenged myself to scrapbook everyday things in my life. For instance, I scrapped my St. Patricks Day elf collection, favorite Xmas items, and just everyday adventures with friends. One of the things I wanted to scrap was pictures of my parakeets.  They live by a window near the kitchen, so they get lots of attention.

Cartridge: Songbird. Branch cut three times, and third time used only the bird (I have 2 birds)  Paper - DCWV Autumn stack. Inked most cuts.  Sorry I didn't include the bird's picture, I can't find it.

Bird Note Cards

Today I would like to share a few easy note cards.  Our challenge this week at BBTB2 was created by designer Caroline, and is to use a bird in our Cricut project.   I chose to highlight the birds from the Songbird cartridge and accent with words from the Walk in My Garden cartridge.  All layers were inked before assembly.  I added Skittles for bling - I just ordered them from Abusybee.  Good prices and quick delivery.

Tweet out a song and join us in this week's challenge at BBTB2.  Enjoy!

If you like the Skittles, you can purchase them from "Abusybee".  Just click HERE.

Watch Me Grow Layout

This is one of my favorite layouts for the niece's baby book. Songbird cart used for the flowers. I love the muted colors and how well they go together for a vintage look. the seed packets are from Tim Holtz Seasonal pack.
