BBTB2 Cricut - Let's Ride My Bike - Cricut BBTB2

This is one of my favorite recent pictures of my granddaughter.  When I babysit, we try to get outside for a while.  She can ride her Hello Kitty bike around the block forever, while I try to keep up with her.  This day, she was being silly and put on gloves and attached her doll to the front of the bike.  Luckily, Susan, from Busy with the Cricky, is hosting a 'bicycle' challenge at BBTB2 this week, so I got right to work.  The bike is from Summer Celebrations, the kite is from Create-a-Critter, the tree I got in a swap but I think it is also from one of the CACs.  The Play Time title is from Kate's ABCs.  I added paper flowers and Stickles along with orange twine for the kite string.  The frame around the pic is from PaperLoft.  The background paper is from a little heard of company called Momenta, I got it at Tuesday Morning.

Come join our 'Bicycle" challenge at BBTB2 this week.  Use a Cricut cut of a bike on your project.

BBTB2 - Zoo Day Cricut Layout

Our hostess for this week is Sharon at BBTB2.   Since Spring is in the air, she wants us to use a cloud and a sun in our design.   I enjoyed a few weeks of the free Cricut Design Studio subscription, so I made cuts that were 'free' and I didn't have in my collection.   I put them on a layout of a recent zoo trip with my grandkids and their other grandma.  A fun day and a fun layout.  You have all week to link up your sunny day project using a Cricut sun and clouds at BBTB2.

Sun - Folk Art Festival
Clouds - 1st Few Years
Elephant - Zoo Day
Giraffe - Wall Decor and More
Monkey - Life's a Party
Jeep - Beep Beep
Grass - Every Day Paper Dolls

BBTB2 - Cricut Rain or Shine Layout

Whenever the subject of rain comes up, I often think of my daughter's wedding day, which included lots of rain.  It hadn't rained in two months until that day, and didn't rain for another month after that.  We didn't let it ruin the festivities, we just went with it.  As you can see by the photo, we included the rain in the photos.   I added the first part of the saying, and the 'rain or shine' came from the Family Album cartridge.  The ring on the tag from DCWV is from Summer Celebrations.   Their colors were moss green and beige, so I couldn't use the traditional blue for rain.

Link up your rainy day project - by using anything to do with rain - umbrella, rain, boots, etc. at BBTB2 this week.   Pam, from Stamper at Heart, is our hostess, let's see what she and the others have created.

ATC Swap - Spring

I have participated in several ATC group swaps over the last few years.  This one had a theme of spring with a kicker.  There were requirements to colors and techniques and tools that I had to use.  Colors were any shades of Blue, Orange, or Red (black and white optional),  the technique was a Resist, and the tools were a punch, ScorPal, heat gun, and sewing machine.  I think all are obvious except the Scorpal which I used to score the sewing machine cut, which my cutter did not like and I had to score and handcut.  I really like how they turned out.   I submit 14 of these to the hostess who will divide them up and I will get one of mine and 13 different ATCs back.  This is a great group of ladies who are so creative.  Enjoy.

Apple Blossoms

Can you believe my apple tree bloomed in the beginning of February.  By the end of February, most of the blossoms were done.  No wonder my apples are ready to pick in July!   I just loved the look of the blossoms and took a few pictures.

The pictures are the perfect compliment to our BBTB2 challenge this week, hosted by Michelle, which is to use a Cricut flower on your project, card, or layout.   My flowers are not fancy at all, and I only use the one dimensional ones because they go into a book. Branch from Pagoda, words from Art Nouveau and overlay from Artbooking.  Go on over to BBTB2 and submit your flower project and see what creativeness my co-hostesses have come up with.

Hoppy Easter - Cricut SVG Bunny

Hoppy Easter Everyone,

This is the first project/card I have made with an SVG download file on my Cricut Explore.  It took me a few tries to get everything right, and I think it will be much easier the next time.  Good thing this bunny image is so darn cute or I would have given up.  And it was easy to assemble.  I took advantage of the sale at myscrapchick.com and purchased several SVG files.  You may see some soon, but meanwhile for the next week I am going to take advantage of the free subscription for the Explore that Cricut is sponsoring.  Background paper from Lawn Fawn. Have a great Easter!
