The colors went so well together in this simple layout, and I was so happy with the results. the orange box under the flowers will be used for journaling.

Mothers Day 2010 - My mom

I wanted to remember my mom today, it is our first Mother's Day without her. Last night I finished this layout, there are a few more to go. She was a lover of the garden, fushia's being one of her favorite. I thought the flower arrangement was perfect during the services, and wanted to capture that in my layout. Cricut used for the hearts, sunburst, and gates to heaven. Stickers and perals for a little bling. Happy Mother's day to all.

Pebble Beach Food and Wine

Andre and I went to the Pebble Beach Food and Wine Event in April 2010. We didn't know anyone but had loads of fun. Lots of wine, cheese, tastings, and strolling. Look for more posts soon from this event. Inked around frame and borders. Cuts are from Cricut "From My Kitchen" cart. Frame is a challenge from BBTB2 for April, modified, of course into Martini flowers. I didn't even realize these frames existed on this cartridge.

St. Joseph's Day 2008

I know, I am really behind in my scrapping. This is a two page layout of our cousin's St. Joseph's Day feast. It is full of food and giving thanks to the simple working man/woman.

Nashville Layouts

When on a business trip last year, I went a few days early and spent time with my friends. We went to Nashville to see her son's band. We stopped at the Opryland Hotel and walked through the lush greenery and atrium. Just awesome.

Oh (My) Christmas Tree

I wanted to create a keepsake of a few of my favorite Xmas ornaments. I have over 75 49er ornaments, and always get an ornament from places I go on vacation.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY LAYOUT

Here is a 2 page layout I just completed for St. Patrick's Day. LUCKY is from Indie Art and the rest of the cuts are from PDDU. I had fun creating this, as I wanted to document my holiday displays, not just trips and people.

I am giving an orchid as a birthday gift and got the idea to make some cuts and attach them to skewers and then into the plant. The pic doesn't quite capture all the cuts, but you get the idea. I could go overboard and add more, but sometimes, more is less. Enjoy.

A Child's Year Birthday Card

I actually made this card for a 90 year old who is very young at heart. Happy Birthday, Girl, and bird all from A Childs Year. The scallop was stretched on design studio and is from Celebrations. I inked the bird in a light blue... the girl is shadowed in white and then pop dotted on the card. Two rhinestones added for her buttons, and presto - a simple but really nice card appears. Pop dots are not what I usually use, but they sure make a difference in the final card... I need to remember to use them more often.
