Sweet as Honey Baby Layout

This week's theme challenge at BBTB2 is a 'baby project or layout'.  One of my favorite subjects!!!  When my granddaughter was barely a week old, she wore this adorable yellow striped dress and shorts set.  I thought she looked like a cute little bee, so that is how I had to scrap these pictures.   There is room on the bottom for journaling (which I am so bad about doing).  I got two bees in a swap on the Cricut message board a few years ago, so this came together very easily.  "Sweet as Honey" is from Don Juan,  the bee on the bottom left I made from Art Nouveau, and the top left bee is from Walk in My Garden.  The border of bees was from my stash.  Here's the link to the BBTB2 blog, take a peek at the incredible projects this week.

Get Well Cards

This week at BBTB2, Emily is hosting and she has selected a Get Well Card as our challenge.   I usually don't make get well cards, but I occasionally need one, so thought I would make several.  I made them with different overlays from the Artbooking cartridge.  The 'Perk Me Up?" message is something I came up with myself when going though the cartridge books to come up with an idea.  I'm sure it's been used before, but I thought I was being pretty clever.  The percolator and the "Perk Me Up" is from Suburbia, and the "Need a Little" is from CCR basics.  For the text bubble, I took a LOL in a bubble from the Artbooking cartridge and edited it in CCR.

Which of the 4 versions is your favorite?   I like the red backgrounds the best.  Now head on over to the BBTB2 blog to see what the team has in store for you this week.

Happy Birthday - 30 years old

Our challenge from design team member Caroline over at BBTB2 this week is to create a Birthday Card with a number on it.   I choose to create a CHEERS card with the number 30 - a special birthday for a close relative.  I emphasized the cosmopolitan drink in an extra large size to play up the occasion.

Only 2 Cricut cartridges were used for this card - Suburbia for the lady and the word Cheers, along with Nifty Fifties for the martini/cosmopolitan cut.   These are two of my favorite cartridges, I love the vintage look.

Come join us this week and submit a Cricut card with a number on it.

Christmas Figurines Layout

Our challenge today at BBTB2 is to showcase one of our hobbies.   I have lots of hobbies, one of them is collecting Lefton and other brands of Christmas figurines.  It started out with collecting angels, and then I added in cute little girls, and Santas, and choir boys, ==== well, you get the picture.  I also collect lady heads (bottom left pic), and put my Christmas ones on display.   This is just some of my collection, I probably have about double what is shown in the top picture, but because I have a 2 yr old granddaughter around once in a while, I didn't want to risk an 'accident'.

I used several Cricut cartridges on this one.  The 'vintage' tag is from Forever Young, the bracket is from Home Accents, the "I Collect" is from Suburbia.  The ornament is from Christmas Cheer, the word Christmas and Figurines, as well as the journaling tag are from Artbooking.  The poinsettias are from Celebrate with Flourish.

Come on over to visit our talented BBTB2 designers and see how they presented their hobbies.
