BBTB2: Cricut - Pooh and Friends Framed Picture

It's so fun when I get to use my Cricut to create Disney related projects.  Today, I am sharing a framed picture I made for my niece (my nephew's wife) who is having a baby soon.  Her theme for the baby's room is Winnie the Pooh.  So I have been creating lots of Pooh items with my Cricut.  A baby girl album with Pooh images on the cover and pages, cards for her to send using Pooh stamps, and of course a Pooh card for the baby shower.    My sister asked if I could make a picture based on something she saw on Pinterest.  I said "piece of cake for this one".  It was supposed to be a table decoration at the shower and then given to the mom to be for baby's room.  Well,, the shower was cancelled due to COVID-19, so I'm waiting to give it to her in person.

We are having a challenge for the next two weeks at Bitten by the Bug2 and it is "Cute Critters".  I think this definitely qualifies.  Pooh is so fun to make and pretty easy.  Join up with your 'critter' related card, layout, or project on our blog - Bitten by the Bug2 - HERE.

Image sets:
Characters and tree:  Pooh and Friends
Lettering:  Mickey font
Grass:  Everyday Paper Dolls
Inking around the edges
Frame - 12" x 12" from Walmart

Here is the original Pinterest inspiration.

BBTB2: Cricut - Minnie Mouse Mini Album

This project is a kit that I purchased from Monique Griffith several years ago.  She is a talented Cricut creator and make a lot of kits and instructions for layouts before the Explore came out.  The kit instructions were made for the Expression, so I had to "think backwards" to undo my current brain and convert back to several years ago.  All the cuts were made with the Mickey and Friends cartridge except for 2018, which was made with Mickey Font.   I did the assembly during the all day crop at Scrapbook Expo in Pleasanton a few weeks back.  I added extra bling as the album is for my granddaughter to fill with pictures and autographs of her first trip to Disneyland.  I'm sure you will be seeing a lot of my Disneyland layouts soon.  I did buy a lot of Disney scrapbooking items and paper at the Expo and can't wait to find the time to scrap the pictures.

Our challenge this week at Bitten by the Bug2, is to use a Cricut cut in the shape of a butterfly on a layout, card, or other project.   You can submit your creation via our Linky page HERE at BBBTB2.  We love to see what you can created.  Our thanks to Amy of AO Creations for hosting our challenge this week.

BBTB2: Cricut Mickey Celebrates with a 1 year old

Happy New Year Everyone!  I was sick, like the rest of the world, most of December and first week of January.  Last week I finally got back out my crafting and created 6 scrapbook pages and this birthday card for our Bitten By the Bug2 challenge.  My 3rd grandson will be turning one in a few weeks and we are also planning a trip to Disneyland!  Thus, my Mickey themed card.

Our challenge theme this week at Bitten by the Bug2 is "Birthday Cards".  I hope you will join in and link up your birthday cards that include a Cricut cut to the blog.  Here are the cartridges that I used:

1 in a circle:  Days and Dates
Mickey:  Mickey and Friends
Writing:  Disney Mickey (on top of a rectangle then contour)
Pop Dotted the Mickey

It's a Dog's Life

Yes, this dog is spoiled, but he is not mine.  He belongs to the other grandparents and my son-in-law.  He is the meanest looking boxer you have ever seen, but in real life is the wimpiest pup you have ever seen.  He crashed into the screen door once and wouldn't go near the door for a week.   As you can tell, he is also a great guard dog, watching over my granddaughter.  This was taken about a year ago by Grandma "R"  and is one of my favorite pictures.   However, she took it with her cell and used a square format, which did not translate to 5x7 at all.  So I had to print a 8x8 and crop it down after making the layout.  I was going to stamp lots of small dogs on the vertical strip and then came up with the idea to fill the overlay with his name.  I used Mickey Font and CCR for the die cuts on this layout.

Sharon, from MeeMee's Creations is our hostess this week for Bitten by the Bug2 and has selected a dog die cut for our Linky challenge.  I automatically knew I wanted to use this picture in my layout.  Coming up with a design was a challenge for me.    Link up your 'dog' inspired project, card, or layout at BBTB2.  Look forward to seeing what you design.  Ruff, Ruff!!!
