BBTB2: Cricut - Family Heritage Challenge

 Hello All,  These next two weeks at Bitten by the Bug2 are all about Family and Heritage.  Use your Cricut to create anything related to the challenge theme.  You can link up your artwork HERE at Bitten by the Bug2.  Use Pinterest, or Instagram to post your work, you do not have to have a blog.

I choose to use a scrapbook page from my brother's wedding.  They had some gorgeous photos and I wanted to scrap them.  The page is rather simple, and showcases the pictures well.  Can't go wrong with a big "Mr. and Mrs." title.  Images are from Tie the Knot and Sweethearts.  I added a fancy frame and some gems to brighten up the cutwork.  Enjoy!

BBTB2 - Hot Mama, Big Daddy Towel Card

Lynn, from My Cards N Stuff, is our hostess for Bitten By the Bug2 this week and she has selected a "towel" theme - kitchen, bath, or beach.   I used the Sweethearts cart to make the towels, but instead of his and hers - I put on my own twist using the hide contour feature of the Explore.  I then added a Happy Anniversary sentiment with a frame and a little Stickles to finish off my card.  Join us at Bitten By the Bug2 to link up your towel creations this week.

She Said YES

My nephew recently got engaged.  He proposed to his fiancé on stage after singing with the band they came to watch.  He said it was the greatest day of his life.  That explains the nature of my funky card today.  It depicts my nephew proposing with a silhouette of a set of drums and music in the background. I think the drums came out a little big, but I'm not going to redo it. Of course I had to add a diamond gem to the ring.

I used Sweethearts, Rock Princess, and Hannah Montana for the cuts.  I used the slice feature to add the words.  Enjoy.

I am making 17 of these cards. Some to send, some for a swap. Entering it also in the My Pink Stamper challenge - Challenge was to use black, 2 blues and 2 pinks. Got it done, it wasn't easy. From the Sweethearts cartridge.
