BBTB2: Cricut Scary Halloween Card

This is by far my favorite Halloween card I have ever created.  I really hate to give it away.  I started with an idea of a gate with a cat in the front, simple and sufficient.  Then I got carried away, there were just too many Halloween related items to add to my card - an owl, a bat in the moon, a sign, and a tombstone.  Now I want to make more of these cards.

My inspiration started with our BBTB2 challenge this week, which is to use a swirl on a card or project.  I immediately thought to use something from the Ornamental Iron cartridge.  I really can't believe how lucky I was that these cuts turned out perfect when cut so small.  That BEWARE sign is only about 1 1/2 inches and it cut it all so nicely, those spiderwebs  are paper thin.  I inked most of the cuts and pop-dotted them to get a 3D effect.

BBTB2: Cricut - My Most Valuable Player

This is one of the best pictures my grandson took during our 'football themed' photo shoot last year.  I finally got around to putting it on a scrapbook page.  This page is really pretty simple this week, it only needs a little bit of journaling.

I used the contour feature on the shield cut.  I took out most of the middle, just leaving the outside outline.  The MVP came from Create a Friend, the trophy from All Sports, and the shield is from Team Spirit. I tried several background papers, including a brown toned football paper and a light green to represent grass.  Then I went through my stash and found this great repeating star textured paper.  It turned out awesome.

I love the choice for our challenge this week - FOOTBALL.  Join our Bitten By the Bug2 challenge and link up your card or project.  Also come and see what all the designers have created.

BBTB2: Cricut Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween All --  It's been a few weeks since I've posted - I was on an almost 3 week long vacation.  We went on a two week cruise out of Copenhagen and ended in Barcelona.  The historical buildings, the food, the exercise, the sun, and the people were all great.  It was so wonderful not to cook or clean.  But real life has set in, and I have unpacked, done the mail, the laundry, the shopping, and almost ready to go back to work.

My internet has been flaky the last few days, and getting anything done on the computer has been torture.  Must be rain related, we are having our first storm of the season.  Wow, just 3 weeks ago we were swimming in the pool, now it's cold and overflowing.   What did we do before the internet???

We are celebrating Halloween over at Bitten By the Bug2 and this week's challenge is Anything Halloween Related.  I selected to use the print and cut for the little trick or treaters and cut out the title.  It went together pretty fast.  I may add some bling later, but needed to get this posted while the internet is somewhat working.  Head on over to Bitten By the Bug2 and link up your Halloween creations and see what the rest of the team has posted.
