BBTB2: Cricut - Fishing - What a Catch!

Happy Leap Year Day!   Over at BBTB2, L.B, from Cool Beans by L.B. is hosting this week, and we are leaping for joy and creating projects and cards that have a person or animal leaping!   The first thing that came to mind was these pictures of the fish my husband caught on our last trip.  They look all curled up - but in fact they were squirming and trying to jump away.  He did have a few that got away, but not these guys.  And let me tell you, (even though I am not a big fish eater) that these were delicious on the BBQ that night!

I used the Outdoor Man cartridge for the saying "What a Catch", the tackle box, and the bobble.  I used the Just Because Cards cartridge for the pole.   To the left of the picture I am going to journal in white gel pen.  I inked a lot of the pieces, including the rainbow trout, knife and tackle box.

Leap on over to Bitten By the Bug2 and link up your interpretation of a person or animal leaping!

Cricut: The Good Dinosaur

We took my granddaughter to see The Good Dinosaur movie a few months ago.  Our financial planner hosts this family event every year.  She was so excited to go to the movies, eat popcorn, and be with Momo and Nonno.  The theater gave us a collectible ticket, and a professional photographer took our picture before the show, perfect for making a layout.  I really only added a few Cricut dinosaur cuts and some frames to this simple layout.

BBTB2: Ole! It's National Margarita Day

It's National Margarita Day, so at Bitten By the Bug2, our hostess for the week, Kelly, from Kellys Koncoctions, has come up with the theme of "Fiesta".  I created a layout from our cruise a few years ago.  Although not really fiesta based, it uses some of the same cuts, and it was a real festive treat for us to see Mayan ruins for the first time.  I used Ole for the gecko, chili peppers and word "Tulum".  The 'Mayan Ruins" sign is from Destinations.  I embossed the chilies with red embossing powder, but they have a pinkish hue instead of the bright red I was looking for.  I also embossed the gecko legs with blue.  The white circle/tags are for my journaling.   Join us for our "Fiesta" day at BBTB2 and create a wonderful project while drinking margaritas!  Cheers!

BBTB2: Rock Stars Love Candy

This little Rock Star is showing off her candy that her Nonno gave her!   Cricut has the perfect Rock Star Frame to show off this Halloween picture.  I added Cricut cuts of her bucket filling with candy and a few other candy cuts all rocked out with Stickles.  It's a pretty simple layout for this week's challenge at Bitten By the Bug2, which is candy.  If you can scrap or create a card with a Cricut cut of candy on it - perhaps some Valentines candy - then post it using the linky at the bottom of our BBTB2 blog this week.

Cricut cuts:  Something to Celebrate (candy), Sweet Shop (suckers), Life's A Party (Rock Star)

BBTB2: Cricut Valentines Day Window Pane

Happy Valentines Day!  I decorate the house for a lot of holidays, and have a new display this year.   This window pane has been used for weddings, birthdays, and now for Valentines Day.  Caroline from Card Creations by Caroline is our hostess this week for Bitten By the Bug2 and she picked the challenge of using a Valentine Heart.  There were too many to choose from, so I went with a few favorite cuts and added in pictures of the family.  This project actually took less time to make than one of my scrapbook layouts.

I U  and one of the cutout hearts is from Valentine's Day cartridge, One heart is from Folk Art Festival, the LOVE the Little Things is from Intricate Cut Quotes, and the I Love You Stamp is from Create a Critter.  Join us this week at BBTB2 by linking your HEART projects or cards.

This 'Love the little things' took forever to cut, as I used the intricate cardstock setting.  That means it cuts everything twice.  It did better on the pink background than it did on the red.  I left off the solid background since it was going on glass.

I took only the word Valentines from a "Happy Valentines Day" saying and cut off the 's' to make the I LOVE You Valentine.

BBTB2: Cricut - I Scream for Ice Cream

Well, in my easy and fast layout today, I think someone is crying over spilt ice cream, and someone else is enjoying a double scoop!  These Cricut cuts are just perfect to represent my two grandkids.  I am sure in a few months I'll have a few great pictures to pop on this layout.  Brenda, from 'Friends Crafting With Friends', is hosting our Bitten By the Bug2 challenge this week and the theme is 'Ice Cream' since the first of February is 'Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day'.   Join our challenge and link up your Cricut Ice Cream creations - cards, projects, layouts!

Cartridges used - Birthday Bash for the 'Sweet Treats' and Summer Love for the girl and boy with ice cream.  Stickles brighten up the ice cream and the word sweet.  I just happen to have the perfect paper from a $1 packet at Target that I got a few years ago.
