BBTB2: Ole! It's National Margarita Day

It's National Margarita Day, so at Bitten By the Bug2, our hostess for the week, Kelly, from Kellys Koncoctions, has come up with the theme of "Fiesta".  I created a layout from our cruise a few years ago.  Although not really fiesta based, it uses some of the same cuts, and it was a real festive treat for us to see Mayan ruins for the first time.  I used Ole for the gecko, chili peppers and word "Tulum".  The 'Mayan Ruins" sign is from Destinations.  I embossed the chilies with red embossing powder, but they have a pinkish hue instead of the bright red I was looking for.  I also embossed the gecko legs with blue.  The white circle/tags are for my journaling.   Join us for our "Fiesta" day at BBTB2 and create a wonderful project while drinking margaritas!  Cheers!

  2. I love this layout. I enjoyed looking at the pictures, it must have been fun to explore these Mayan ruins. I've always been fascinated by these things. The gecko is sooo cute and the other images, also!!

  3. I am so scrap lifting this!!!!! I have a bunch of pictures from Tulum from our cruise to get scrapped too! We were amazed at the scope of the Mayan ruins and history as well.
