She Said YES

My nephew recently got engaged.  He proposed to his fiancĂ© on stage after singing with the band they came to watch.  He said it was the greatest day of his life.  That explains the nature of my funky card today.  It depicts my nephew proposing with a silhouette of a set of drums and music in the background. I think the drums came out a little big, but I'm not going to redo it. Of course I had to add a diamond gem to the ring.

I used Sweethearts, Rock Princess, and Hannah Montana for the cuts.  I used the slice feature to add the words.  Enjoy.

Baby Girl "little angel" Onesie

I love making these little onesies for newborns.  I can personalize them and they are one-of-a-kind creations.   I was lucky to find a lavender onesie and it was perfect for a friend's new little girl.  I used baby pink iron-on vinyl and the Rock Princess cartridge to cut the design.   There are little hearts in the lettering -  they are a little hard to see.   Sometimes I also decorate the backside with a design as well.   This is a 15 minute project from start to finish, selecting the phrase from the 20 or so on this cartridge is the hard part.

Lucky Girl Joan

Lucky Girl layout for my granddaughter's first St. Patrick's Day. These are not going to be the pictures I use, but I wanted to put some in the spots. I'll be sure to take some of her in her green outfit this weekend. Lucky Girl, and bracket cuts are from Rock Princess, Shamrocks and pot of gold from PDDU, border is cut from a punch. This layout is entered in the Getting Scrappy Challenge at http://amandascraftsandmore.blogspot.com/

Grandma's Mini Album for a Boy

I made this album for a best friend who is going to be a grandma this year for the first time. It's a boy, and I found some coordinating paper at my now closed LSS, and thought it was perfect. Can you believe a baby boy album with no blue? It came out really cute with lots of room for pictures and journaling. These are most of the pictures - didn't load them all. Can't wait to give it to her.
