BBTB2 Cricut FROGS Snails and Puppy Dog Tails

I am sure you all know the old rhyme "Girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice.  Boys are made of frogs, and snails, and puppy dog tails".   I just love this saying and have wanted to use it with a baby picture of both my grandkids.   I used the cutest photo of my grandson at 4 months - he is giving a big smile and I managed to snap a good one (out of about 8 taken).

Our challenge at BBTB2 this week is hosted by Diana of D.L.Art.  She has asked us to use a FROG in our project, card, or layout.   There are lots of frogs to select from, and I used this one from "Give a Hoot".  The snail is from "Art Nouveau", and the Dog with boy is from "A Child's Year".  The swirly frame is from Elegant Edges and I must admit on both layers, the cut snagged a bit.  Fonts are Cindy Loo, Disney, and Don Juan.  It was fun using different fonts and I designed it completely on Design Space.  I usually don't design an entire layout in DS, I just make cuts and design as I go or from the design in my head.   This layout took 15 mats but really didn't take that long to cut.   Join us at BBTB2 this week for the FROG challenge and link up your Cricut project for all to see.

  5. WHAT an awesome pic of your sweet grandson!!!! The layout came out fabulous-love the mat. I've eyed that mat and never cut it but it really pops the picture out. All your animal images including, Mr. Frog make great accents! I love that saying too and will have to use it (if I ever get around to making actual baby books….lol!)
