Making Tomato Sauce

Every year we go to Modesto to make tomato sauce with our cousins. It is hard work but we have sauce for a year. We pick the tomatoes, wash them, cut them, grind them, cook them, and jar them. We usually jar about 100 jars and our cousins do 300. All you see in your head is RED for a week. Used Freshly Picked for the signs and "tomatoes". From Your Kitchen for the "sauce" and tomatoes on the bottom right.

We'll Have Fun Fun Fun

I got this idea in my head for a row of old cars from the Heritage cartridge. It came out pretty good.. I changed the lyrics of course to match our purchase of our Tbird from Andre's cousin. She won it on The Price is Right in 2003. It only had 2000 miles on it when we brought it. Smells new still.... we already have 5000 miles on it in a little less than a year.

Father's Day at the Ballpark

Finally scrapping this layout of the guys on Father's Day last year. Cricut Plantin Schoolbook used for the lettering. Got the mitt and "play ball" in a swap and knew it was for this layout. Isn't that background paper cool. "Take me out to the ballgame"

Catch of the Day - Andre and Kenneth catch the big ones

I used the Pagoda, Plantin Schoolbook, and Campout Cricut Cartridges to make this page. I really like the colors. I was tired of the same old campout style layouts and got this idea in my head to make it fancy. Turned out well. Stickles on the fish and pole. One of my favorites.

Pagoda Dragon card

This is a very masculine card I created for my nephew. Used the Pagoda cricut cart for the dragon. Wanted a "dark" look to this card, so roughly inked in black on the red and white paper. smudged (ok it was an accident) the silver dots, it looks really cool. If I had the time, I would have added silver brads. The white paper is textured and very appropriate for this card.

Earthquakes Soccer game

Here is a layout that went together rather quickly. Always quick if you have the right embellishments and paper. Friends and the two of us at the soccer game in Santa Clara a few weeks ago.

4th of July Decorations

I used "A Child's Year" to create my wall decorations for the 4th of July. Cut the fire engine and kids at max size, shadow first, then cut. Put them up as decorations on my cubicle at work.

Aunt Marge's Garden

Entering this in the Fantabulous Cricut Crawl. (http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/) under the Die Cut flower power, Shadow, and Inked categories. The colors went so well together in this simple layout, and I was so happy with the results. the orange box under the flowers will be used for journaling.

Mothers Day 2010 - My mom

I wanted to remember my mom today, it is our first Mother's Day without her. Last night I finished this layout, there are a few more to go. She was a lover of the garden, fushia's being one of her favorite. I thought the flower arrangement was perfect during the services, and wanted to capture that in my layout. Cricut used for the hearts, sunburst, and gates to heaven. Stickers and perals for a little bling. Happy Mother's day to all.

Pebble Beach Food and Wine

Andre and I went to the Pebble Beach Food and Wine Event in April 2010. We didn't know anyone but had loads of fun. Lots of wine, cheese, tastings, and strolling. Look for more posts soon from this event. Inked around frame and borders. Cuts are from Cricut "From My Kitchen" cart. Frame is a challenge from BBTB2 for April, modified, of course into Martini flowers. I didn't even realize these frames existed on this cartridge.
