Camping, Off Roading, and Quilting

Did you see the title and think 'what?? Those don't go together!".   Well, on this last trip, they sure did.  The girls went off to a quilt show, quilt supply shopping, and a sewing expo, and the guys went off road exploring along the river, a fish hatchery, and just relaxing.  This page is for the guys, future pages will have lots of quilt pictures.

At BBTB2 this week, Emily, from Mollie's Motif, is hosting our challenge.  She has asked us to use the Campin' Critters or any other camping themed cut from Cricut.   Campin Critters is one of my favorite cartoonish cartridges.  I have used it a few times this year already for BBTB2.   I put a few cuts down on torn paper with a tree background (DCWV).  The food cooler has two tags ready for my journaling.   Come on over to BBTB2 and let's see what you can create with a camping theme.

  1. Awesome layout! Love how it turned out I did have a moment of puzzlement, as quilting doesn't usually go with off-roading….but it sounds like a perfect division of entertainment, lol!

  2. Oh, I really love this layout. Those Create a Critter images are so cute and go so well with your layout. The pics are awesome!! Our camper is set up nearby, so we just go to it and enjoy. Not as much work. Your camping trip looks like great fun!!

  3. Fabulous layout!! I love all of the cuts and that bg paper is great. :)

  4. How awesome that the girls had their sewing/quilt time and the guys had their time off road exploring! I love, love this layout Maureen, it is fabulous and Campin' Critters was the perfect cart choice. I would so love to come to CA and go camping with you. I love camping but my body is just getting to old to tent it anymore. lol This getting old thing is for the birds! I also love that you take some crafty stuff with you when you go camping, so fun! Hugs, Brenda

  5. LOVE your layout, Maureen! Your cuts are fabulous! Great job!
