I had several ideas for scrapping this picture and came upon this saying from Winter Frolic gave me the idea that the couch was like a manger for the newborn. I used my Explore and free subscription to cut the Kings and baby in a manger from A Quilted Christmas, those swirls almost cut perfectly. Lots of Stickles and a gem to add more bling. The wooden frame is as close as I could get to a barn, and is from Pooh and Friends. My journaling is a take on a bible verse from Luke: For is born to you this day a son (December 19, 2014) in the city of XXXX, CA, to XXX and XXX and them called him Samuel XX XX.
This layout fits in perfect with our BBTB2 theme for the week which is hosted by Pam and is "use a Cricut phrase or words in a project/card". Link up your card or layout to BBTB2 this week.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun layout to show case your new grandson (I love his name) and your granddaughter. I love the manger cut with the details. The kings are darling too. Your granddaughter's couch request is a scream! I am so happy that Santa did not disappoint her and brought the couch. Of course the adults were probably just thrilled with the new baby for Christmas. Congratulations!
