Snowflake Luminaries

It's been down in the 30's here in the SF Bay Area, and while we don't get snow, that's plenty cold for me.  I'll take hot days anytime.  What better challenge for BBTB2 than to make a snowflake cut into a card or project.  Michelle is our hostess this week with the theme "let it snow - use a snowflake cut".

I was looking at the "make it now" projects available on Design Space.  I fell for this snowflake luminary, so I made three of them in colors that match my family room.   I added battery operated tealights inside to give a small glow in the evenings.   Join us at BBTB2 by linking your Snowflake project.

  6. That's pretty chilly for you guys Maureen! We have been in the teens and I'm so over winter now. lol I think we are to get back to some slightly warmer temps. I love your snowflake luminaries, they are so pretty and I bet they look great in the evenings! Our snow is almost gone, thanks to the rain. We had to start with ice first, which I would rather have snow over ice. But then it hovered just above freezing and it turned to rain thank goodness. I think your luminaries would be great here too. I might have to check into making them! Hugs, Brenda

  7. These are gorgeous-love the idea of them with the tea lights shining in the evening! It's been so cold here that I think the 30s would feel balmy….I'm kind of ready to be done with winter, even though we're really only in the middle of it, lol!
