Sympathy Card with the Explore

This week at BBTB2 Sharon is our hostess.  Her blog is http://meemeescreations.blogspot.com/.  She has selected 'a sympathy card' as our challenge this week.   I haven't made a sympathy card in a long time, but found I am out of them.   I decided to try an idea of making a background paper with my pens on the Explore.  I cut the flower from the CM Stork's Delivery cartridge using both layers.  Then I put a single layer on another page and copied it several times, changing the sizes.  I used the writing feature to make the background paper using a purple pen to match the paper flower.  The "with sympathy" is from the Jasmine cartridge.  The doily is from Stampin' Up (see sidebar for ordering) For my first writing project with the Explore - I like it!

Please join our challenge by linking up your 'sympathy' card to BBTB2.

Here is a close-up of  my background paper.

  1. This is a beautiful sympathy card Maureen and I'm glad you haven't needed one in a long, long time!! I love the purples and I really love that you made your background with the pens on the Explore, how cool is that?! Your sentiment has cut out so well too, a cart that I haven't used in a long, long time because it is hard to cut these letters out nicely. Looks like the Explore did a great job on cutting it! 3. I have been drawing backgrounds with my Explore for a while, BUT it never occurred to me to draw a flower and then embellish with the same flower! I love it! Thanks for the inspiration and, oh yes, lovely card!
